Quality Improvement

This section will cover activities that use the Registries for improvement of the quality of care of people with these conditions. Benchmarking in healthcare improves efficiency, quality of care, patient safety and patient satisfaction. The process involves looking at standards, sharing best practices and evidence-based practices and then identifying potential areas of improvement.

It is anticipated that studies performed using data from the registries can improve care by understanding the reasons for variation and providing feedback to individual centres through individualised centre-specific reports.
