Early on in the operation of I-DSD, reporting centres were also adding cases of CAH. The development of a specific module for CAH in the I-DSD Registry, ie the I-CAH Registry, occurred in 2014 when it became evident that a registry would also be helpful to share data on these rare enzymatic conditions that overlap with DSD but are under the wider umbrella of CAH and that the I-DSD module was not suitable for capturing some fields of CAH. Since the development of this specific module in 2014, the number of cases of CAH has increased from about 200 to over 3500 in 2025.
